What's the most difficult part of filmmaking? Some would say funding. Everyone else would agree. Below are a few places you might want to start your search. But you might have better luck with local arts grants available in your neighbourhood. We'll post those as we learn of them. Feel free to share your leads!

If your film budget is over $200,000 you might be eligible for some sweet relief from the feds. Contact Canadian Heritage for all the details.

The Ontario Arts Council has funding specifically to help filmmakers. Be sure to check out specific grants for emerging artists and mid-career and established artists.

The Canada Council for the Arts offers an Artists and Community Collaboration Program in Media Arts. You can receive up to $20,000. Deadline is February 1st, so put on your grant writing pants.
